Burghley House

Another early start in the pouring rain. It was a great day though. We went to Burghley House and Stamford. Burley house is the finest Elizabethan Place in the United Kingdom. It is used in Pride and Predjustice as Katherine Deburghs home. Burghley house has its own herd of deer that will eat out of your hand. First we toured the interior through the apartments. Then through some of the gardens. There was lot of fun flowers to take pictures of. It was raining so it was hard to stay outside in the gardens for long periods of time. I did go into one sculpture garden that had some funhouse mirrors that made some funny looking pictures. We had some time for lunch and then went into Stamford and toured around for awhile looking at different shops. Then back to London. Later I went running with Julia and Erica. It felt great to loosen up all my cramped muscles from walking so much.
