Wilton House

Back to a busy day, it started bright and early at 6:40. First we all headed out to the Wilton House in Salisbury. It took about two hours to get there. The Wilton House is the home of the Earl of Pembroke. It is a beautiful home full of sculptures, intricate ceilings, paintings, furniture, and much more. The gardens outside were lovely. There is a great little bridge on the grounds that we got to walk out on. Normally people are not allowed on the bridge so we were quite lucky. Then we made our way to the Salisbury Cathedral. We first took a tour of the bottom area of the church. Then we went up in the rafters and climbed the tower. It was pretty awesome. There were tiny wooden spiral staircases that we had to climb up to get to the top. The tower is the tallest tower in the United Kingdom. Towering at a height of 404ft. Then we hurried our way over to Stonehenge before it closed. They were quite the awesome rocks. It's amazing that they have been around so long and that they were even constructed.
